We are a grower’s co-operative based in Crosby Ravensworth, Cumbria. We grow high-quality, responsibly-grown vegetables for people who care about where & how their food is produced. We sell to local families through a box scheme, and also supply wholesale to local businesses. We lead growing clubs in local primary schools & healthy eating courses in partnership with Barnardos.
We as growers have a direct relationship with you as our members, because there’s no middle man, which we really like.
Our box scheme is not the same as buying veg from a supermarket; not everything is in season all of the time. You receive a regular share of what we produce. We know that we are growing for you so that helps us to plan our crop quantities and to harvest without waste.
A weekly veg bag (or fortnightly if you prefer) is £12, including delivery, and is delivered on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. It will always contain spuds, carrots & onions plus five other vegetables in season.
We can deliver it to your door, to an agreed drop-off point or you can collect it from our packing shed in Crosby Ravensworth. We deliver in canvas bags & ask that you leave out your empty bag (preferably clean!) each week for us to collect.
We accept Healthy Start vouchers which provide support to pregnant women & families on lower incomes to purchase healthy food. With a Healthy Start voucher a veg bag is just £7.75. Check here if you qualify: www.healthystart.nhs.uk.
